Addressing the pressers on Wednesday, Amirabdollahian who traveled to the Swiss city of Geneva said that the Islamic Republic of Iran is pursuing the massive delivery of humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.
Amirabdollahian added that he will have meetings with UN officials and the international Red Cross in continuation of Iranian diplomatic efforts amid the Israeli regime's aggression on the Gaza Strip in Palestine.
The US sends all kinds of weapons, including phosphorus and banned bombs via Cyprus or directly from their bases in the region to Tel Aviv for use against oppressed people of Gaza, the top Iranian diplomat said, noting that in such a situation the US is just pretending to send humanitarian aid to Gaza, but in practice nothing important happens.
Referring to the quotes from the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken about sending 500 trucks to the Gaza Strip every day, Amirabdollahian underlined that according to the follow-ups, 25 to 40 trucks enter Gaza each day, three-quarters of which are water and no medicine, food, and any other basic needs get into the enclave.
Given the positive standpoints of the UN Secretary-General and his colleagues, the top Iranian diplomat expressed hope that the massive delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza would be accelerated by constructive consultations during the meetings.
Pointing to the meetings with Head of the Political Bureau of the Palestinian Hamas Resistance Movement Ismail Haniyeh, Amirabdollahian highlighted that Haniyeh agreed to the immediate release of the civilians who are in Hamas prisons, but in the talks, exchange of messages and efforts to stop the war in the region, the Zionist regime has so far refused to accept conditions that could speed up the release of these prisoners.
He concluded that the Zionist regime is trying to continue the war, massacre, and genocide in Gaza on the pretext of freeing prisoners.
